This exceptional Kenyan coffee comes from the Karani Wet Mill, located at the edge of the Mt. Kenya forest in Kirinyaga County. Grown at high elevation in rich volcanic soil, this lot showcases the clarity, structure, and vibrant acidity that have made Kenyan coffees world-renowned.
The Karani factory is one of ten factories operated by the Kabare Cooperative Society, a cornerstone of coffee production in Kirinyaga. Despite challenges such as climate variability and urban expansion, the cooperative continues to uphold Kenya’s reputation for producing some of the world’s most elegant coffees.
Ripe cherries are handpicked and delivered the same day, then pulped, fermented, washed, soaked, and carefully dried to preserve clarity and complexity.
